The main difference between these basic sets and the Multiclad Pro is that the latter has a tri-ply construction and aluminum core. The tri-ply material gives you great heat conductivity and even heat distribution.
This means you get three layers: a stainless steel interior, an aluminum core, and a brushed stainless steel exterior. It also has full stainless steel lids instead of glass.
The French Classic, like the Multiclad Pro, is also made of tri-ply material and full stainless steel lids. The difference is the price, because the French Classic is made in France, so it’s almost twice more expensive.
The handles are more comfortable to use compared to Multiclad Pro, and it doesn’t have tapered rims.
If quality is a big priority for you and you’re not too concerned about budget, then the French Classic is the one for you. Otherwise, you can take it a notch lower and go for more affordable versions.
